85:1
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْبُرُوجِ
Translation of the Meaning
By the sky containing great stars
QURAN-85-1
85:2
وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْمَوْعُودِ
Translation of the Meaning
And [by] the promised Day
QURAN-85-2
85:3
وَشَاهِدٍ وَمَشْهُودٍ
Translation of the Meaning
And [by] the witness and what is witnessed,
QURAN-85-3
85:4
قُتِلَ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْأُخْدُودِ
Translation of the Meaning
Cursed were the companions of the trench
QURAN-85-4
85:5
ٱلنَّارِ ذَاتِ ٱلْوَقُودِ
Translation of the Meaning
[Containing] the fire full of fuel,
QURAN-85-5
85:6
إِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُودٌ
Translation of the Meaning
When they were sitting near it
QURAN-85-6
85:7
وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفْعَلُونَ بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ شُهُودٌ
Translation of the Meaning
And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses.
QURAN-85-7
85:8
وَمَا نَقَمُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَمِيدِ
Translation of the Meaning
And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy,
QURAN-85-8
85:9
ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ شَهِيدٌ
Translation of the Meaning
To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness.
QURAN-85-9
85:10
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَتَنُوا۟ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوبُوا۟ فَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ ٱلْحَرِيقِ
Translation of the Meaning
Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire.
QURAN-85-10
85:11
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّـٰتٌ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْكَبِيرُ
Translation of the Meaning
Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment.
QURAN-85-11
85:12
إِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ
Translation of the Meaning
Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe.
QURAN-85-12
85:13
إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ
Translation of the Meaning
Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats.
QURAN-85-13
85:14
وَهُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلْوَدُودُ
Translation of the Meaning
And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate,
QURAN-85-14
85:15
ذُو ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْمَجِيدُ
Translation of the Meaning
Honorable Owner of the Throne,
QURAN-85-15
85:16
فَعَّالٌ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ
Translation of the Meaning
Effecter of what He intends.
QURAN-85-16
85:17
هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلْجُنُودِ
Translation of the Meaning
Has there reached you the story of the soldiers -
QURAN-85-17
85:18
فِرْعَوْنَ وَثَمُودَ
Translation of the Meaning
[Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud?
QURAN-85-18
85:19
بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِى تَكْذِيبٍ
Translation of the Meaning
But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial,
QURAN-85-19
85:20
وَٱللَّهُ مِن وَرَآئِهِم مُّحِيطٌۢ
Translation of the Meaning
While Allah encompasses them from behind.
QURAN-85-20
85:21
بَلْ هُوَ قُرْءَانٌ مَّجِيدٌ
Translation of the Meaning
But this is an honored Qur'an
QURAN-85-21
85:22
فِى لَوْحٍ مَّحْفُوظٍۭ
Translation of the Meaning
[Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate.
QURAN-85-22
